›Which games can I play?
501 double out, 301 double out, 301 single out and Around the Clock. Every game is played as "first to X legs"; you pick X on the setup screen. You can play alone, with up to 30 players, or 2 vs 2.
›What do "double out" and "single out" mean?
In double out the last dart must land in a double (the outer ring or the bullseye) and leave exactly zero. Leaving 1, going below zero, or hitting zero with a single or triple is a bust: the score stays as it was before the turn. In single out any dart that brings the score to exactly zero wins the leg; only going below zero is a bust.
›How does Around the Clock work?
Hit 1, then 2, and so on up to 20, then the bull. Singles, doubles and triples all count as a hit, and each hit moves you to the next number. The first player to hit the bull wins the leg.
›How do I enter a score?
Tap the board where the dart landed. The dark ring around the numbers records a miss. Each dart appears in a slot below the board with a delete button; after three darts (or a bust or a checkout) you approve the turn or clear it and enter it again. Approving hands the board to the next player.
›What is the checkout hint?
Whenever the remaining score is 170 or less and can still be finished with the darts left in your hand, a suggested route is shown under the board. It follows the common checkout table for double out and is recalculated after every dart. Numbers such as 169, 168, 166, 165, 163, 162 and 159 cannot be finished with three darts, so no hint appears for them.
›How does 2 vs 2 work?
Four players form two teams. Each team shares one score, and teammates throw alternately: player 1 of team 1, player 1 of team 2, player 2 of team 1, and so on. Personal stats are still recorded per player, and a leg or game win counts for both members of the team.
›How are the statistics calculated?
3-dart average: points scored divided by darts thrown, times three; busted turns score zero but their darts still count. First 3 darts: the average score of each player's first turn in a leg. 1st dart average: the average points of the first dart of every turn. Highest finish: the largest score checked out in a single turn. Best leg: the fewest darts used to win a leg. Around the Clock only contributes to darts thrown, legs and games. "Today" on the stats screen covers every turn thrown on this device since midnight.
›Where are my players and stats stored?
On this device only, in the browser's local storage. Nothing is sent to a server. Clearing the browser data, or uninstalling the app, deletes the roster and all statistics. To remove a single player, open the roster from "Edit names" on the setup screen or use the delete button on the stats screen; that removes their turns from the archive as well.
›Can I install it like an app?
Yes. On Android, open the browser menu and choose "Add to Home screen" or "Install app". On iPhone and iPad, tap the share button in Safari and choose "Add to Home Screen". The app then opens full screen and also works without a network connection.
›Does the app have a dark mode?
Yes. The colour scheme follows the system setting of your device: switch your phone to dark mode and the app changes with it.
